The mission of a “BJJ Summer Week” is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every individual member has the opportunity to develop its own Jiu Jitsu, share common experience and create valuable links amongst athletes from all around the world.
TRIVIA
Cagliari is the capital of the island of Sardinia, an autonomous region of Italy. It is rich of culture, tradition and history. Under the buildings of the modern city there is a continuous stratification attesting to human settlement over the course of some five thousand years.
The Sardinian name “Casteddu” literally means castle, it refers to the beautiful “Bastione Saint Remy”, which is close to our HEADQUARTER / INFO POINT
at Hostel Marina in the heart of “Marina” district.
You can learn more about our history in our guided tours through the city. Just ask us if you are interested in it.

For those who booked their meals with a specific option for dietary requirements: please remember to always bring the badge with you. Breakfast will be served in your own hotel and dinners will be served according to our agenda. Special diets will be respected, and a member of our crew will be lo- oking after your needs so please let us know if anything has to be changed.
GLOBAL VILLAGE
It’s one of the funniest moments of the all BJJ SUMMER WEEK editions so far! Sharing your own culture is one of the best gifts you can give to others. Every participant will bring some country specific drinks and food and will share it with others. It can be a Liquor, beer, sweets, ham, or cheese, whatever you’d like to share with others.
There are a lot of us, we know; you don’t have to bring a box of wine (unless you really want to!) or tons of caviar but trust us it will be a very pleasant moment
Just know this much, people are very competitive to earn the “Crown of Global Village King/Queen” so give your Best to Impress.
MONEY AND TRANSACTION
In Cagliari there are a lot of ATMs and in 90% of clubs, pubs and shops they all accept debit/credit cards. For those who need to exchange money there are also some desks and banks in the area.
LAUNDRY
I know you are struggling for it! Around the center there are many public laundry services (check on google “lavanderia self service”).
We are also organizing a service but we will tell you details at your arrival. Bring at least 2 Gi and 2 sets of NO-GI with you.
MISCELLANEOUS AND SPORTSWEAR SHOP
In the venue there will be a small shop with all you need for BJJ practice so don’t worry if you forget to pack something! We can’t take cards there, so in case you want to buy some you will have to pay cash.
VIDEO AND PICTURE DURING THE CAMP
Of course you can take as many pictures as you like during the camp. Make sure to use our tags @bjjsummerweek_ (Instagram) and #bjjsummerweek or #bjjsummerweek2022 when uploading them. And if anyone understands TikTok, please explain it to us.
BUT REMEMBER that sometimes someone does not want to be on the social media sites or is on a SECRET TRIP his wife should not know about, so just try to be under- standing of their situation and be nice.
During seminars we will tell you if you can take video/pictu- res or the professor will let you know if he/she doesn’t want his/her seminar to be shot.
Notice that we will shoot and collect videos and pictures and share them with you after the camp upon request.
GUIDED CITY TOUR AND EXCURSIONS
We want to show you the beauty of our island and plan to take you on some Excursions. If you are interested in it, please write us an Email up ahead and register for the trip of interest.
Especially the trip on September 19th to MAMOIADA,
for this is NOT INCLUDED to your BJJ Summer Package this year and you will have to pay 50 € additional to your fee.
We will provide 2 guided City Tours in the morning (more info upon arrival, check the WhatsApp Chat) where you can learn about our city history. You will walk the streets with a tour guide, enjoy the local specialties and get amazed by a beautiful view over the city.
